How to unlock the Far Far Away Badge – Foursquare

Bluehost.com Web Hosting $6.95

I would say that the Far Far Away Badge is a very hard badge to achieve and wrongly named. I would like to think that if I lived say in Boston, and checked in anywhere that is really really far, like say Tokyo Japan, then I should deserve the Far Far Away. However Foursquare decided that the Far Far Away badge really has nothing to do with how far your really are, and instead awards the badge depending on checking in at a specific location, even though that location can be 5 minutes away from where you live

Far Far Away Badge

To unlock the Far Far Away badge, you must be in New York City and checking somewhere above 59th Street, which is not quite clear, as soon as you check in somewhere above 59th St, Foursquare will give you the badge and issue you a “Welcome to the world above 59th Street!”

I got the badge by checking in at Venue 31689 a.k.a Bloomingdale’s, 1000 3rd Ave, btw 59th & 60th
New York, NY

If you find your self in NYC, drop by Bloomingdale’s and get yourself a quick badge, otherwise, that badge will remain unlocked.

I know this badge is very unfair and makes no sense. But I hear that they are adding different cities, even though I am not sure which

this is very unfair. I live in Soho and work in Midtown, this one could take months. If they moved it down to 42nd street it would be more doable.

It is what it is, that the rules and like I said, you can checkin all the way in Japan and still not get the badge

As a Swede, who just spent three days in Brooklyn, without realizing that I had to crawl above 59th St, I’m fairly vexed.

Stephen, hope you were kidding…?

hi samer forzley, i have a proposal…how about i give you my username & pw…when you are there, you check in for me. it is just totally unfair for those who live away from NYC. I’m like staying on the other side of the world…it’s really impossible for me to get that badge.
