25 thread count is where I stop

Bluehost.com Web Hosting $6.95

We need to get some bed sheets. First we went to The Bay and found an alarming number of sheets in all types of “thread count” 200, 400, 600, 800. Worse one has to figure out if you want silk, polyester, cotton, Egyptian cotton, organic cotton (whatever, as if the dye to make them green is organic), cotton that think its Egyptian, etc… The shocking part was the price. Well the price of the 200 thread count was ok, but nooooo00000000000 maybe we can find it cheaper online and at a better thread count. Seriously, why are bed sheets so expensive? why?

So we did, we found 2 great deals, the first one from Sears.com the second from CSNStores CSN Bedding and More. The Sears set was 800 thread count. The CSN one was a whopping 1500 thread count. They showed up, I could not wait to open them up.

Once open, I tried HARD to tell the difference between 1500 and 800, nothing.Brought up the old 400 and 200 sets, nothing. They all felt the same. Am I the only one who cant tell the difference? Is the extra cost for extra thread count worth it? I don’t know, as long as I am not sleeping on burlap, what do I care.

Please make the case for the extra thread count.

Good Cotton is Good Cotton.
I have sheets from my childhood as Im sure my mom bought “good cotton”.
I have sheets from when we got married (1990) and i’m sure they were “good cotton”.
Then we went to costco about 6 years ago, (after redecorating)..Im sure its not going to last 20 years. Not the same. Im positive.
Time will tell.
I hate those types of decisions. Which is why I just buy “good cotton”. LOL
