Bought Running Shoes – Nike vs Asics vs Saucony
Apparently I overpronate, hence my knee pain that almost got me side lined for my 10K run, I wrote about it in a previous post called Dealing with a set back
Running shoe buying aint a simple task.
I asked the guy at the shoes store which one was the best, no such thing, every one has a preference. Which one has more support? well no such thing. Which one has the most cushion? no such thing. You gotta try them all and see. ALL? There are like 30 shoes, gonna be here all day. The good news, apparently according to the guy at the shoes store, once you find a pair, you will be loyal forever, so this is only painful once.
I tried a few brands, like an Asics Gel, Saucony and Nike Air Zoom, all feel the same, I can’t tell. The more I tried, the more they all felt the same. After at least 10 shoes I bought the Asics, Why?
It looked good, and was on sale.
Are you picky about your running shoe? which ones do you buy?

running shoes made of synthetic rubber are great and some of them are water resistant too~:`
Asics’s are by far better than any shoes out right now the most stability out of all the brands; Nike and saucony, the asics’s have so many benefits and features. The arch support is incredible. The gel technology is great expecially for absorbing the shock of walking or running. not to mention the built-in orthotic to help more then everything else. so in my opinion asics are the best brand of shoes out of all.
you are right, I ran a half marathon with the Asics and loved them, they are tired now and time to go buy a new pair, not even gonna bother trying anything else. Going to start training for the full marathon and need shoes

SAUCONY makes the BEST running shoes money can buy aint nothin better, I have nineteen pairs and they are the only running shoes I will EVER EVER wear
Nike is the best, all the athletes wear it!
Mike markets their shoe the best, all them athletes wear it because they get paid by Nike foo.
Nike has a shoe for everything. From something with total support (Structure triax) to a shoe that that lets your feet do the work, (Free run, Free 3.0), and shoes for everything in between. Most people go for sale items and are discouraged to not find what they are looking for. I encourage everyone to first look at the product, and then the price and go from there before judging a product or even a brand.
I’ve had 5 pairs of Nike running shoes & 3 pairs of Asics runners. I must say, the Asics are a lot more comfortable & offer more support from my experience. They also last longer than the Nikes.
I have to admit, that since I have been running I am going through these shoes every 4 month or so, and I am now an Asics convert and that is all I buy
asics are better build/support than better promoted Nike. Have not tried Saucony but it would be between Asics or Saucony Period. Reebock/adidas/new balance/nike are fat chairmen owned company lookig for profits more than Asics CEO who look into making a long lasting and quality running shoe.
